Thank You Ma'am

Authors Note- This is my predition piece for the story Thank You Ma'am.

Roger walked away down the street it was the middle of the night. The freezing air blew in his face, thinking of what he has done he walked past the shoe store and looked inside. He saw the blue suede shoes on the shelf. Thinking to himself he thought of giving the money back to Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones or keeping it. After ten minutes of thinking he decided to go back the next day and give the money back. That’s what he did the next day he walked through the same place that he tried snatching the purse. Once Roger got to the house of Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones he knocked on the door. Someone opened the door it was Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones, she stood there and said “Hi Roger” Roger looked up at her and mumbled “Take the money, I don’t deserve the money for the new shoes” Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones said “No Roger you deserve the money the money is for you I will take you to get the new Shoes”. That is what they did Luella Bates Washington Jones took Roger to get the him a pair of blue suede shoes.


Defend Why

I know that Roger changed throughout the story because as he was washing his face during the story he could of ran away. He had more chances to take Luella Bates Washington Jones purse but he stayed and when he was able to leave he was a different person. He knew that stealing was not a good thing to do.
