Author's Note- This is the Patriots Pen essay. And I am focusing on my introduction.
What would I tell my founding fathers? I would say that they did many great things for our country. The founding fathers were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington. Those are the people that created the laws. They signed many documents to give the people independence, also the Fathers made the 13 colonies their own states.
One big accomplishment was making a solid government. Every founding father was a political leader at one time. The summer after the beginning of the Revolutionary War five of the fathers gathered, and made the document to declare the independence of the colonies. That made them their own state.
The second thought I would say to the Fathers is that they signed many documents but one was the Bill of Rights. That helped the country by giving some power to the people and limiting the power of government. I would thank them for setting limitations, that protect our rights of liberty and property. Including to bear arms if the we choose.
I would love to talk to the founding Fathers and compliment them on their great work. Making the country free to the people and making it a great place to live. Additionally thanking them for all the time and stress of building a strong country.
