WWF Kids State

Authors Note- In this essay you will learn about the sacrifices and the family support needed in the sport of wrestling and the reward in the end.

Some of the best memories I have ever had are about wrestling but I have great memories from vacations I have been on too. But the best memory ever was my trip to the WWF Kids State Wrestling Tournament in 2010. With all the support from my family and the sacrifices I had it all paid off.

It all started when we left the hotel Saturday morning I was ready to wrestle and I was really nervous. As we were driving to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, I got really pumped to wrestle and hopefully bring home some hardware. When I saw the top of the dome I got butterflies in my stomach, I was getting more nervous and ready to wrestle. My family and I were walking up to the main doors and we walked in I went right to the hallway and look into the arena floor what an awesome sight.

The first match was a great match it went into overtime and I won with a great double leg takedown to win the match against Jake Kreklau.  On the way to the finals the first match was the hardest match out of all the matches. After I won the semi-finals match I had a 2 hour break until the finals. In the finals I had James Palmer in the finals he was a 3 time state finalist and 2 time state champ. In the finals I lost 9 to 3 but I fought hard in the finals. Since this was the first time ever to place at state I got to go on the award podium and get my awesome trophy I really wanted and trained for.

That was one of the several great moments in my life, but this one really stood out for me. Making it to state and getting some hardware at state for the first. But the sacrifices paid off in the end and the support I got from my family.
