Drilling for Oil?

Author's Note- This paper is about the debate to drill for oil or not. Pay attention to the introduction of this essay.

There are many reasons to and not to drill for oil in Alaska. People don’t just use oil for fuel but in many ways that you don’t even think about like in many shirts, shorts, plastic, and rubber and many other uses in the everyday life. Mostly people use oil for cars, lawn care utilities like using oil as a fuel. We should drill for oil in Alaska it would help the United States because it would help the economy.

According to the National Defense Council Alaska is home to world’s last true wilderness some of the animals living here are the polar bear, grizzles and the endangered shaggy musk ox a mammoth like survivor of the last Ice Age. With all these animals living here it would destroy their home by when they drill they could have a spill. But with all the pipelines and the miles and miles of road they have to make to get the right machines to drill the oil. Then that would destroy the refuge because the roads would be plowed right through the land where the animals live.

Economy is a big problem because of the raising gas prices. Some people want to drill and that’s what they should do the prices would go down a bunch; that would help people for the things people use oil for. According to The Gateway Pundit gas prices have doubled since Obama took office which is a bone chilling fact. Obama just shut down another Alaska oil drilling opportunity. America is low on jobs they would make more jobs by drilling for the oil in Alaska.

There are some many good reasons to drill or not to drill, many people have different opinions. But I think that that they should drill for oil and it would help out the people paying for a lot of money for gas prices. Not only would it would help out gas prices it would help out the use of oil in everything.
